Recently the Florida legislature passed a bill increasing the bankruptcy exemption allowed for Floridians with equity in their vehicles. The proposed bill would have increased the vehicle exemption in bankruptcy from $1,000 to $5,000. However, Gov. Ron DeSantis vetoed that bill. So Floridians are currently stuck at $1,000 for a vehicle bankruptcy exemption. Will that amount be increased? I support an incease.
